That would be the last day my kid was in that school.

"The parent continued, 'When I asked my kindergartener how often they talked about topics like the one in the picture, he said it was every day.'"

I suspect this is happening every day in most schools, public or private, in this country.

Do these parents know that the Austin Public Schools will transition their kids and call them racists *for free*?

I'm thinking Saint Andrew would be against this entire line of thought.

And voicing "concern" gets you nowhere. At least threaten to take them to court and get a refund of your tuition, if you can call an overpriced daycare "tuition"

To say “two of President George W. Bush’s daughters attended middle school at St. Andrews” is technically correct: he has exactly two daughters.

My child attends this school and it’s truly scary what’s going on there. Worse, the new administration’s response to this article is not “we plan to review curriculum” but, rather, don’t engage with the post and it will go away. They do not care about the families at the school in any way. They claim that this curriculum relates to “respecting all people as part of our Episcopalian faith” while having zero respect for the white parents paying their salaries. Even worse, the academics at the school are virtually non-existent - perhaps to make way for this “woke” content.

In April 28th a mentally ill homeless person entered campus and physically assaulted several students in the 4th grade. The school did not stated the truth to parents and instead downplayed the interaction in their email to parents:

“ We want to let you know that an individual unaffiliated with St. Andrew's approached our Lower School campus near Rollins Library this morning. We had several fourth grade classes outdoors who were immediately brought inside. This man became violently ill on site and we contacted the Austin Police Department and EMS to address his needs and take him away from our property.

Our security team was immediately engaged and we enforced our Shelter-In-Place protocols until this person was removed and away from our campus. Our counselors are working with any students who were upset by this incident.”

My student reported that he knew that students in the 4th grade were physically assaulted and because the school lied to parents about the magnitude of the incident we were unable to appropriately support our child.

On February 24th the SAS head of school send the following email, completely unprompted:

“You may have heard that Governor Greg Abbott wrote a letter on Tuesday, February 22 asking the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate instances of medical and therapeutic care for transgender minors as child abuse. Within the letter, Abbott wrote “Texas law imposes reporting requirements upon all licensed professionals who have direct contact with children who may be subject to such abuse, including doctors, nurses, and teachers, and provides criminal penalties for failure to report such child abuse.”

As an Episcopal School, we are committed to respecting the dignity of every human being, and building a community of true belonging and love for all of our students. We have assured our faculty and staff - and we want to assure you - that there is no legal requirement for any adult to report a transgender minor, their parents, or caregivers to DFPS or Child Protective Services.

Furthermore, to do so would be inconsistent with our Episcopal values. Yesterday, the Rt. Rev. Andrew C. Doyle, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, wrote “There is no requirement for anyone to report the existence of trans kids in one of our Episcopal Churches or schools. The statement has no force of law. ALL people are welcome in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas without fear - we offer only love.”

If you or your children have any questions or need support related to this issue, please know that our three counselors and chaplains are available and happy to help.“

She literally stated without any concern or question that the school intends to be complacent in child abuse and violate the law. These people need to be fired and criminally prosecuted.
