Off topic: I am getting emails telling me that my credit card payment didn't go through and a "Your account cannot currently make live charges" message when I try to update my credit card info on Substack. Is Stripe messing with you?
Ruralbob: The same thing happened to me. I figured it was a scam since my payment went through two weeks ago and showed up on my credit card statement. I went into my substack account and, yep, it’s ok. Somehow, we were “hacked”.
My Substack account shows it as paid but my credit card does not. My last payment (according to my credit card statement) was 12/20/23 so, in my case, it looks like the most recent payment did not go through. There should have been a 1/20/24 payment which is not there. I don't think it's a hack but it's quite curious.
