As our society becomes ever more brazenly amoral there seems to be a concurrent increase in violent crime, the gap between the obscenely wealthy and the desolation of extreme poverty widens(even though the same extremely wealthy ppl promote policies that are posed as measures to counter this and yet they get wealthier) drug addiction is at an all time high(pun intended)

huge sectors of society are so polarized that civil discourse isn’t remotely civil, we sprint ahead with technologies that have potentially catastrophic consequences(and any one pointing them out is ridiculed, marginalized and dismissed) traditional forms of faith are seen as uninformed and backward yet worship of the earth as some kind of deity (a common practice of ancient pagan cultures)has overtaken otherwise rational, critical thinkers such as the lion share of the highly educated. It’s almost as if we are determined to bring about our total destruction and sadly, we’re succeeding. For a brief moment our advances in science sparked hope that we as a species might see a meaningful elevation of health, longevity, peace, prosperity and general happiness. Then we left our honest and better judgement, faith in powers higher than ourselves and every semblance of social mores in the dustbin.

Wham! Reality is a bitch and I told you so ain’t even close to covering this self-inflicted, unmitigated disaster we call modern life(read painful death).

God help us cause clearly our best efforts haven’t.

The concept of Gay pride and airplane safety being in opposition is a fallacy of false dichotomy. You could as easily say “they need to focus on airplane safety, not timely paychecks.”

Guess it’s been a slow week.
