Two pitiful people suffering from delusions of grandeur. The enormously influential “woman” lurking in a seedy hostel bathroom, exactly the kind of place where the upper strata of influential society are known to hang out, and who has the power to ruin lives. And it’s a pity that Max didn’t stop to consider whether posting a foul-mouthed tirade on one of the world’s biggest social media channels might not exactly boost her chances of finding employment. She’s of a generation that certainly knows what “going viral” means. I guess if I was an employer who has long been searching in vain for someone who lives in their car, expects to live comfortably on minimum wage in the year 2024, and becomes enraged when the only employment she can find does not make her every wish the company’s utmost priority … well Max would be my dream employee. Thanks to Libs of Tik Tok, I am really starting to understand that these people truly are living in a reality parallel to ours. Hard to imagine that does not lead eventually to drug abuse, homelessness and suicide. The prognosis for their recovery looks very bad.
